13.
A horse pulls a cart along a flat road. Consider the following four forces that arise in this situation.
(1) the pulling force of the horse on the cart
(II) the pushing force of the horse on the road
(III) the pulling force of the cart on the horse
(IV) the pushing force of the road on the horse
Suppose that the horse and the cart have started from rest; and as time goes on, their speed increases
in the same direction. Which one of the following conclusions is correct concerning the magnitudes
of the forces mentioned above?
n Force (I) exceeds force (III)
(2) Force (II) exceeds force (IV)
(3) Force (III) is less than force (II)
(4) Force (III) exceeds force (IV)

Answer:

lets take deep look in this question.

since horse is pulling the cart. according to third law of motion every action have eqaual and opposite reaction.

so the pulling force of horse and cart will always be equal.

now here main thing is friction.

so think think answer 3 is correct.

because cart will move till when pulling force of cart on horse will less than pusing force of road on horse.

try to visualize it .

and make a fbd .

still you can't get,ask me in comment.
