answer:

let the no. be × and y

× = 2y+ 6 ..........(1)

× + y = 24

2y + 6 + y = 24

( from eq..1 × = 2y+ 6)

3y= 24- 6

y = 18/3

y = 6

× = 24- 6

× = 18

Answer:

Let the numbers be x and 6+2x

so,

x+6+2x=24

3x+6=24

3x=24-6

3x=18

x=18 divided by 3

x=6

Therefore,

No 1=x=6

No 2=6+2x=6+2×6=6±12=18

The numbers are 6 and 18.
