Given :-

Volume of the piece of lead = 50 cm³

Density of the piece of lead = 11.5 gcm⁻³

To Find :-

The mass of the piece of lead.

Analysis :-

Here we are given with the volume and density of a piece of lead.

In order to find the mass of the piece of lead substitute the values given in the question such that mass is equal to volume multiplied by the density and find the mass accordingly.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • m = Mass
  • v = Volume
  • d = Density

Using the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Mass=Volume \times Density }}

Given that,

Volume (v) = 50 cm³

Density (d) = 11.5 gcm⁻³

Substituting their values,

⇒ m = vd

⇒ m = 50 × 11.5

⇒ m = 575 g

Therefore, the mass of the piece of lead is 575 g.
