13. A stone is dropped into a well. The sound of
the splash is heard after 2.5 x. Find the depth
of the well. Take velocity of sound =
330 m/s. (Hint: Total time (n) = 2.5 s. It
consists of two parts: a) Time taken (1) by
the stone to reach the water surface in the
well and (u) Time taken (r) by the sound to
cover a distance equal to the depth of the
weld.
