Question :- An online shopping website offer a voucher of 1500 for every 100th order. Every 30th order received free a gift hamper. How many customers must get through before one of them receives both a voucher and a gift hamper ?

Solution :-

we have given that,

→ Voucher of 1500 is for = Every 100th order..

and,

→ Gift hamper is for = Every 30th order.

So, we can conclude that, the first customer who received both , a voucher and a gift hamper is must be LCM of 30th and 100th Position of customers.

Than,

Prime Factors of 30 and 100 =

→ 30 = 2 * 3 * 5

→ 100 = 2 * 2 * 5 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 * 5 = 300 .

Therefore, atleast 300 customers must get through before one of them receives both a voucher and a gift hamper .
