Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Total money : 196,150

20,000 given to school library

so remaining : 196 , 150 - 20,000 = 176 , 150

Ratio = 5 : 4 : 4 (Wife : Son : Daughter)

so 5 + 4 + 4 =13

so wife = 5 /13 × 176, 150 = 5 × 13 , 550

= 67, 750

son = 4/13 × 176 , 150 = 4 × 13, 350

= 54, 200

daughter = 4/13 × 176 , 150 = 4 × 13, 350

= 54, 200

so this is the amount given to each of them .

Hope it helps :)

Answer:

Given:

After retirement, Binoybabu get 1,96,150. He donated 20,000 for school

library and the remaining amount he divided among his wife, son and daughter in

the ratio of 5:4:4.

To find:

How much money he gave to each of them.

steps:

totel \: money \: he \: got \: after \: retirment = 196150 \\ money \: he \: donated \: for \: school \: library = 20000 \\ money \: left \: with \: him = 196150 - 20000 \\  = 176150 \\ let \: the \: amount \: divided = 5x,4x  \: and \: 4x \\ therefore,5x + 4x + 4x = 176150 \\  \longrightarrow \: 13x = 176150 \\  \longrightarrow \:  x =  \frac{176150}{13}  = 13550 \\ so,amout \: given \: to \: wife = 5x = 5 \times 13550 = 67750 \\ amount \: he \: gave \: to \: hs \: daughter =  \\ amount \: he \: gave \: to \: his \: son =  \\ 4x = 4 \times 13550 = 54200
