21 & 23 are  two consecutive odd integers, sum of whose square is 970

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say  two consecutive odd integers, sum of whose square is 970

are 2n-1  & 2n + 1

(2n - 1)² +(2n + 1)² = 970

=> 4n² + 1 - 4n + 4n² + 1 + 4n = 970

=> 8n² = 968

=> n² = 121

=> n = 11

(2n - 1) = 2 * 11 - 1 = 21

(2n + 1) = 2 *11 + 1 = 23

21 & 23 are  two consecutive odd integers, sum of whose square is 970

21² + 23² = 441 + 529 =  970
