Answer:

At the melting point the solid and liquid state are in dynamic equilibrium , i.e, the particles are constantly converting from one form to another at a constant rate . This is why solid and liquid coexist at melting point .

Answer:

At melting points, solid & liquid exist in a dynamic equilibrium. Then the both particles convert into one form to another at a constant rate. A substance is in solid state before melting and in liquid state after melting. The point at which the solid turns liquid is melting point and they coexist at this point.
