consider we have 120 g of mass of air

mass of oxygen in 120g of air =23 g

mass of nitrogen in 120g of air =77g

molar mass of oxygen =32g

1 mole of oxygen Or 32 g of oxygen occupies 22.4 litres volume.

therefore volume of 23 g of oxygen occupies 22.4/32×23=16.1 litres .

similarly 28 g if nitrogen occupies 22.4 litres volume.

therefore 77g of nitrogen will occupy 22.4/28×77=61.6litres

total mass of air =16.1+61.6= 77.7litres
