Infinite number of rational numbers exist between any two distinct rational numbers. We know that a rational number is a number which can be written in the form of qp where p and q are integers and q =0.

there are infinite rational numbers between any two numbers

for example:

4.52=452/100

similarly,

4.53=453/100

now,we can make equivalent fractions by multiplying both numerator and denominator by the same number:

452/100*10/10=4520/1000

similarly,

453/100*10/10=4530/1000

(note that both the rational numbers should be multiplied by the same number)

now we can make out many rational numbers here like

4521/1000,4522/1000 etc.

since there are an infinite number of numbers to multiply with,we can find out an infinite number of rational numbers.

thank you
