Given : complex number Z is purely real,

To Find : conjugate of Z

Solution:

Let say complex number

Z = a + ib

Then conjugate  would be

Z conjugate = a - ib

complex number Z is purely real

Hence imaginary part is zero

hence b = 0

=> Z = a  + i(0)

=> Z = a

Z conjugate = a - i(0)

=> Z conjugate = a

Z conjugate = Z

complex number Z is purely real, then  conjugate of Z is   Z
