13. If water is present upto a height of 1m in a closed tank then its pressure at the bottom is
(take g = 980 cm/s2) (density of water 103 kg/m)
1) 9.8 x 102 dyne/cm2
3) 98 x 103 dyne/cm2

2) 9.8 x 106 dyne/cm2
419.8 x 104 dyne/cm2

Explanation: Since the tank is closed so that atmospheric pressure will not add to the total pressure.

Now change in pressure with depth = density of water*g*h

=> Pressure at bottom = 1000*9.8*1

= 9800N

Now one newton is equal to 100000dyne

So in dyne pressure is 98.*10^8 dyne
