Here,

We can write 13% as -------->

 \frac{13}{100}

Applying BODMAS rule, we get,

B = Brackets

O = Of

D = Division

M = Multiplication

A = Addition

S = Subtraction

So,

 \frac{13}{100}  \times 258 - x = 10

 \frac{3354}{100}  - x = 10

 \frac{3354 - 100x}{100}  = 10

3354 - 100x = 1000

3354 - 1000 = 100x

2354 = 100x

x =  \frac{2354}{100}

x = 23.54
