Given :

The cost price of toffees is Rs 2 for 15 pieces

i.e  In Rs 1 , number of toffees = 7.5

Again

The toffee sold  at the rate of  half of money for 5 pieces and at the rate of remaining half of money for 10 pieces

To Find :

The profit or loss percentage

Solution :

∵ At Rs 2 , numbers of toffee = 15

∴The cost price of 7.5 toffees = Rs 1

Now,

At half rate

The selling of number of toffees at Rs 1 = 5

The selling of number of toffees at another Rs 1 = 10

So, profit% = \dfrac{S.P - C.P}{C.P} × 100

i.e profit % = \dfrac{7.5-5}{5}  × 100 + \dfrac{7.5-10}{10} × 100

Or, profit % =  ( \dfrac{2.5}{5} - \dfrac{2.5}{10} ) × 100

Or, profit % = \dfrac{5-2.5}{10} × 100

∴   Profit = 25 %

Hence, The profit percentage is 25%   Answer
