a). Firstly, the RANK function in excel is used to allot the ranks then RANK.AVG is used in case the same rank is allotted to more than one in number.

b). After writing numbers in the cells, go to data validation and choose validation type 'list'.

c). Bar Graph.

d). In the column 'Total Games' and 'Gold', replication have been used.

e). By the formula, SUMPRODUCT((Ax : Ay = "___")*(Bx : Jy = "___")*(Bx : Jy)).

The Excel functions for the following:

a). The total number of medals of Germany and Great Britain are 937 and 847.
