• Opening balance has been written as balance b/d and closing balance as balance c/d
• The closing balance shall be carried forward as opening balance in the month of may
• All receipts are recorded on the debit side and all payments are recorded on the credit side
• Cash paid to Sunil 9500 is after deducting the discount
• Cash received from Mahesh 45000 is after allowing discount
• All the transactions are assumed to be paid in cash
• The figures of discount received and discount allowed shall be shown on credit and debit side of p/l respectively
