Step-by-step explanation:

let the speed of ravi be x km/hr and distance of school= y km

Now,

y/x = 1.4 hr --------(1)

Again,

x' = 3/4 x

t' = y/(3/4 x)

t' = 4y/ 3x ---------(2)

dividing 1 by 2 , we get

1.4/t' = (y/x)/(4y/3x)

1.4/t' = 3/4

so, t' = (1.4×4)/3

= 1.87 hrs

Step-by-step explanation:

Ravi takes 1.4hrs to reach school.

Let the speed be 1km/hr, by this we can assume that the distance is 1400m..

Now speed is 1000m/hr, 75%of 1000m is 750m..

Time=distance/speed.

1400/750=1.87 hrs
