Answer:

The height of the parellogram is 30 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangle = 40 x 12

= 480cm²

Area of parellogram = b x h

480=16xh

h=480/16

= 30cm

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\bf Given -  \begin{cases} &\sf{length \: of \: rectangle \:  = 40 \: cm} \\ &\sf{breadth \: of \: rectangle \:  = 12 \: cm}\\ &\sf{base \: of \: parallelogram \:  = 16 \: cm}\\ &\sf{Area_{(rectangle)} = Area_{(parallelogram)}} \end{cases}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\tt\red{According \: to \: statement}\end{gathered}

 \blue{ \bf \:  ⟼ Area_{(rectangle)} = Area_{(parallelogram)}}

 \tt \:  ⟼ length \times breadth = base \times height

 \tt \:  ⟼ 40 \times 12 = 16 \times height

\tt\implies \:height \:  = 30 \: cm
