thickness of wood is 1 cm throughout. Find the volume of wood used in the box.

h=10

but if thickness is 1 therefore:-

new L=15

B=11

H=9

We know that volume of material is outer volume - inner volume.

volume of outer box is 16x12x10=1920

volume of inner box is 15x11x9=1485

Therefore volume of material = 1920-1485

                                                =435cm^3
