Given :-

• The ratio of number of chocolates with Seoni and Varsha is 7:9

• Varsha has 14 chocolates more than Seoni

To Find :-

• What's the total number of chocolates with them?

Solution :-

As per question :-

Given that,

Varsha has 14 chocolates more than Seoni.

Let the number of chocolates with Seoni be x.

Then, the number of chocolates with Varsha

will be ( x +14)

Again, it’s given that

The ratio of number of chocolates with Seoni and Varsha is 7:9

Then,

x : ( x +14) = 7:9

⟼ 9x = 7x + 98

⟼ 9x -7x = 98

⟼ 2x = 98

⟼x = 49

Hence,

number of chocolates with Seoni is = 49

And number of chocolates with Varsha is

= 49 + 14

=63

Therefore,

total number of chocolates with them

= 49 + 63

= 112
