i went to a nearby small village that had around 10-12 families

Explanation:

the men in the village were involved mostly in economic activities such as

• one of them owned a hardware shop
• some young people were daily wage workers
• one owned a grocery store
• some owned vegetable shops
• some had their farms around the village
• some even owned cattle

although most of the women in the village were involved in non-economic activities like house hold activities, some women also managed activities such as

• tailor shops
• weaving
• working as maid

other then the above activities , there were

• political activities such a s a sarpanch
• shg(self help groups)
• banks
• village panchayat committee
• etc
