Hello dear,

13(y-4)-3(y-9)-5(y+4)=0
13y - 52 - 3y +27 - 5y -20 = 0
10y - 5y - 25 - 20 = 0
5y - 45 = 0

When we take '- 45' to Right hand side then it become positive,

5y = 45
When we take ' 5 ' to Right hand side it becomes divisor of 45,

y = 45/5

Now performing simple division,

y = 9

Hope it helps!
