Heya,

the equation given is

13(y - 4) - 3(y - 9) = 5(y + 4) \\ = > 13y - 52 - 3y + 27 = 5y + 20 \\ = > 10y - 25= 5y + 20 \\ = > 5y = 45 \\ = > y = \frac{45}{5}

=> y = 9

Hi

Here is your answer

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Answer:

                  y = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

13(y-4)-3(y-9)=5(y+4)

13y - 52 - 3y + 27 = 5y + 20

10y - 25 = 5y + 20

10y - 5y = 20 + 25

5y = 45

y = 45/5

y = 9
