to show i) AC > AB

ii) AC > BC

ΔABC

∠ABC=90

∠ABC+∠BAC+∠ACB=180

∠BAC & ∠ACB are acute angle.

∠BAC<90

& ∠ACB<90

∠BAC<∠ABC & ∠ACB<ABC

∴BC<AC & ABC<AC proved

In ∆ABC, ∠ABC = 90° ∠A + ∠C = 90° ∠ABC > ∠BAC and ∠ABC < ∠BCA ∴ D is the largest side of ∠ABC. ∴ AC is opposite side of larger angle. ∴ AC hypoternuse is largest side of ∆ABC.
