13x-5y=30.......eq1

5x-13y=6.........eq2

Using elimination meathod

Multiply eq 1 with 13 and eq 2 with 5 and you will get ,

169x-65y=390.......eq3

And 25x-65y=30........eq4

Subtracting eq 2 from eq 1 we will get,

169x-25x=360

144x=360

X=5/2

Put value in eq 1 we will get

10y=-15

Y=-3/2

Therefore

X+Y=5/2-3/2=2/2=1
