The ratio of mass between magnesium and sulfur is :- 3:4

According to your question we need to find the amount of magnesium which reacts with 2g of sulfur

Now ,

=> 3 : 4 :: x : 2

=> 4x = 2×3

=> 4x = 6

=> x = 6/4 = 1.5

Hence 1.5 g of magnesium reacts with 2g sulfur and 3g - 1.5g = 1.5 g of magnesium left.
