Now , put the value of x in eq(2)

we get ,

=> 20 = 2y - 42 - 9y

=> 20 - 42 = 2y - 9y

=> -22 = -7y

canceling (-) sign from both the sides

=> 22 = 7y

=> y = 7/22

Now put the value of y in any of the 3 equations

we will put in eq (3)

x = 14 - 3y

x = 14 - 3 * 7/22

x = 14 - 21/22

x = 308 - 21/22

x = 287/22
