Given: 80\% \ of\ 65 - 70\% \ of\ 70 = x\ \% \ of\ 75.

We have to find the value ofx.

  • As we know that a percentage is a fraction of an amount is expressed as a particular number of hundredths of that amount.
  • It is denoted by a symbol(%).
  • For example,5 \% means$\frac{5}{100}$.
  • By using the unitary method we are calculating the percentage of numbers.
  • As we know fractions can be converted into percentages and vice-versa.
  • And percentages are reversible.
  • For example, 50 \%$ of 60 is the same as60 \%$ of 50.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

80\% \ of\ 65 - 70\% \ of\ 70 = x\ \% \ of\ 75.

\Rightarrow \frac{80}{100} \times65 -\frac{70}{100} \times70=\frac{x}{100} \times75\\\\\Rightarrow \frac{5200}{100} -\frac{4900}{100} =\frac{75x}{100} \\\\\Rightarrow 52-49=\frac{75x}{100} \\\\\Rightarrow 3=\frac{75x}{100} \\\\\Rightarrow 3\times100=75x\\\\\Rightarrow300=75x\\\\\Rightarrow x=\frac{300}{75} \\\\\Rightarrow x=4

Hence, the value of xwill be4.
