Answer:

(a) While uniform linear motion is related to motion along a straight line with the same velocity. In uniform circular motion, either magnitude or direction of the velocity changes while in uniform linear motion, magnitude as well as direction remains constant. Motion of body in straight line path with constant velocity.

(B)Examples of circular motion include: an artificial satellite orbiting the Earth at a constant height, a ceiling fan's blades rotating around a hub, a stone which is tied to a rope and is being swung in circles, a car turning through a curve in a race track, etc.

(C) An object undergoing uniform circular motion does not accelerate. In uniform circular motion, speed remains constant.

14. (a)

Uniform linear motion

It is Uniform motion along a linear path or a straight line.

The direction of motion is fixed.

It is not accelerated.

Eg:- a car running with a uniform speed 10km/hr on a straight road.

Uniform circular motion

It is Uniform motion along a circular path.

The Direction of motion changes continuously.

It is accelerated.

Eg:- motion of earth around the sun.

(b) Four examples of uniform circular motion are:-

Motion of an artificial satellite orbiting the Earth.

A stone which is tied to a rope and is being swung in circles.

A car turning through a curve in a road.

Electrons moving perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field.

(c) Yes, uniform circular motion is accelerated motion.

When the object moves in a circular path with uniform speed, it means that its magnitude of velocity does not change. only its direction changes continuously. Hence. it is considered as uniformly accelerated motion.
