Answer:

85*5 (sides of a pentagon)

= 425m

425m * 3 trips = 1275 m in total

HEY MATE ....!!!

Don't worry there is a formula to calculate the perimeter of a regular polygon.

FORMULA TO CALCULATE PERIMETER OF A REGULAR POLYGON IS:

LENGTH OF SIDE*NUMBER OF SIDES

As it is a regular pentagon, hence the number of sides are 5 and the length of each side as you have given is 85

So, now perimeter of regular pentagon = 5*85

= 425 cm ( it is of one round )

As perimeter means one complete round...

He has completed 3 rounds... so in order to get the perimeter or the length of 3 rounds we will again multiply it by 3

TOTAL LENGTH COVERED = 425*3

= 1275 cm
