14. A uniform metre scale of mass 50 g is balanced on the edge of a knife at mark 60 cm by suspending an unknown mass at the 80 cm mark. Find the value of the unknown mass.​

The centre of gravity of a meter scale will be acting at the mid point (50 cm) of the scale.

For the balance, the moment of forces on both sides of knife edge will be equal.
