Let the number be 'x'

If 14 is added to thrice a number gives 44

 =  > 14 + 3x = 44

 =  > 3x = 44 - 14 = 30

 =  > 3x = 30

 =  > x = 10

Hence,the number is 3x=3×10=30

14 + 3x = 14 + 30 = 44
