- Plasma comprises of 55 percent of blood fluid.

- Remaining 44 percent are red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

- It is mostly water ie 92 percent by volume.

- It also contains mineral ions, carbon dioxide, glucose, proteins.

- Plasma carries salts, enzymes and water.

- To take hormones, proteins and nutrients to parts of body that need it is the main role of Plasma.

- It also helps maintain body temperature by releasing and absorbing heat as needed.
