14)Box A contains 5 red and 3 white balls and box B contains 2 red and 6 white balls. If a ball is
drawn from each box then find the probability that they are of same colour.​

Answer:

probability that they are of same colour.=28/64

for same color we can take out either both red or both white balls

probability of both red = probability of red from BoxA x probability of red from BoxB

= 5/8 x 2/8

= 10/64

probability of both white= probability of white from BoxA x probability of white from BoxB=

=3/8 x 6/8

=18/64

sum of both probability is ans

= 10/64 +18/64

= 28/64
