some of the effects are listed below:-

1. burning of fossil fuels emit harmful gases like nitrogen, carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide. These mix with the water vapour in air and form their respective acids. These acids then come down in the form of acid rain which damages various buildings and monuments and also causes skin cancer and dermatosis.
2. Breathing polluted air causes respiratory problems and infections like asthma.
3. Particulates due to air pollution reduces visibility and smog (smoke +fog) is created.
4. Smog decreases the amount of sunlight reaching the ground and hence the whole temperature of that area gets altered.
