Given Dimensions of A ABC are 26 cm, 28cm, 25cm

Garland is to be placed along the side of APQR which is formed by joining midpoints of sides A ABC

To Find : length of the garland

Solution:

APQR is formed by joining midpoints of sides A ABC

line joining the mid-point of two sides of a triangle is equal to half the length of the third side

Hence the length of PQ, QR and PR are the Half of the sides of the triangle ABC so perimeter of APQR = Perimeter of A

ABC /2

Perimeter of A ABC = AB + BC +AC = 26

+ 28 + 25 = 79

perimeter of APQR = 79/2 = 39.5 cm

length of the garland= perimeter of APQR

=> length of the garland = 39.5 cm
