Explanation:

It is an organ in the top of the neck and responsible for the voice produced. There are two vocal cords that are stretched across the larynx in such a way that it leaves a narrow slit between them for the passage of air. The air is forced by the lungs through this slit. Hence, the vocal cords vibrate & produce sound.
