Answer:

CDEF is a rectangle

ABCF is a trapezium

the area of CDEF = length × width

= (18×16) square cm

= 288 square cm

in ABCF,

The parallel lines are, AB,a = 28 cm

CF,b = 16 cm

The perpendicular distance between AB and CF,h = (43-18) cm

= 25 cm

the area of ABCF = 1/2×(a+b)×h

= 1/2×(28+16)×25 square cm

= 550 square cm

Total area of ABCDEF = area of ABCF + area of CDEF

= (288+550) square cm

= 838 square cm
