x^{2}+ ( 1/4 +1/2)x - (1/4 * 1/2)=0 on solving this we get

x^{2}+3/4 x- 1/8=0 or we can write in other form by multiplying whole equation by 8 we get -- 8x^{2}+6x-1=0
