14. Floor tiles are 25 cm squares. How many tiles will be needed for a rectangular lawn 12 m long and 10 m wide. Find the total cost at the rate of 8 per tile.

Answer:

area of tiles= 25 cm^2

area of lawn = l * b.

= 12* 10 = 120 cm^2

no of tiles needed= area of lawn / area of tile

= 120 /25 = 4.8

total cost of tile = 8 * 4.8 = rs 38.4
