The point (3, b) lies on the line represented by 2x – 3y =5 .

So, ( 3, b ) is a solution of the liner equation 2x – 3y = 5

Therefore ,

  • x —> 3
  • y —> b

Now, substituting the value of x and y in the liner equation ,

2 × 3 – 3 × b = 5

=> 6 – 3b = 5

=> 3b = 1

=> b = 1/3
