price exceeds 18% of cost by Rs. 6, what were the sale and cost prices ?

GIVEN THAT 10%S.P=12%C.P

I.E 10/100S.P=12/100C.P

5S.P = 6C.P..........(1)

GIVEN THAT 16%S.P=18%C.P+6

I.e 16SP - 18CP = 600,......(2)

FROM (1).. C.P = 5/6S.P

SUBSTITUTE IN (2)...

THEN 16SP - 18×5/6S.P = 600

..,..............I.E 16S.P - 15SP = 600

S.P = 600,.......(3)

FROM (1)&(3)..C.P = 500
