rate of 4 Km. an hour, to rest there half an hour and then to return at 8 Km. an hour.

( time taken from A to B point ) + 30min. ( rest time ) + 4hr. 7min. 30sec. ( time taken from B to A point) = 12 hours 52 minutes 30 seconds. So the answer is 33 kilometres.
