Answer

Given : perimeter of rectangle = 100cm

and lenght of rectangle = 40cm

Find : it's breadth

Sol :- perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

100cm= 2(40cm+ b) \\ 100cm = 80cm + 2b \\ 100cm - 80cm = 2b \\ 20cm = 2b \\ 20cm \div 2 = b \\ 10cm = b

Answer:

The breadth of the rectangle = 20/2cm = 10cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that, the perimeter of any rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

According to the problem:

100cm = 2(40cm + breadth)

=>2 times the breadth = (100 - 80)cm = 20cm

=>The breadth of the rectangle = 20/2cm = 10cm.
