Given :

  • In a Fraction twice the numerator is 2 more than the denominator.
  • If 3 is added to both numerator and denominator , the new fraction is 2/3.

To Find :

  • Original Fraction.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Numerator\:be=x}

\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2x-2}

Now ,

  • If 3 is added to both numerator and denominator , the new fraction is 2/3.So ,

\longmapsto\tt{Numerator=x+3}

\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2x-2+3=2x+1}

A.T.Q :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{x+3}{2x+1}=\dfrac{2}{3}}

\longmapsto\tt{3(x+3)=2(2x+1)}

\longmapsto\tt{3x+9=4x+2}

\longmapsto\tt{3x-4x=2-9}

\longmapsto\tt{-1x=-7}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=7}

Value of x is 7..

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt\bf{Numerator=7}

\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2(7)-2}

\longmapsto\tt{14-2}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{12}

So , The Original Fraction is 7/12...
