• If 3 is added to both numerator and denominator , the new fraction is 2/3.

To Find :

• Original Fraction.

Solution :

$\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Numerator\:be=x}$

$\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2x-2}$

Now ,

• If 3 is added to both numerator and denominator , the new fraction is 2/3.So ,

$\longmapsto\tt{Numerator=x+3}$

$\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2x-2+3=2x+1}$

A.T.Q :

$\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{x+3}{2x+1}=\dfrac{2}{3}}$

$\longmapsto\tt{3(x+3)=2(2x+1)}$

$\longmapsto\tt{3x+9=4x+2}$

$\longmapsto\tt{3x-4x=2-9}$

$\longmapsto\tt{-1x=-7}$

$\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=7}$

Value of x is 7..

Therefore :

$\longmapsto\tt\bf{Numerator=7}$

$\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=2(7)-2}$

$\longmapsto\tt{14-2}$

$\longmapsto\tt\bf{12}$

So , The Original Fraction is 7/12...
