Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

AB || CD || FE

To find:-

Find the angles x and y ?

Solution:-

Given that :AB || CD || FE

AB || CD and CB is a transversal then

we know that

Two parallel lines are interested by a transversal then alternative interior angles are equal.

angle ABC = angle BCD

(alternative Interior angles)

=>angle ABC = angle BCF + angle FCD

=>75° = y+25°

=>y+25° = 75°

=>y = 75°-25°

y = 50°

The value of y = 50°

and CD || FE and CF is a transversal then

We know that

Two parallel lines are interested by a transversal then Interior angles on the same side to the transversal are supplementary.

=>angle EFC + angle FCD = 180°

=>X + 25° = 180°

=>X = 180°-25°

X = 155°

The value of x= 155°

Answer:-

The value of the angles for the given problem are

x = 155°

y = 50°

Used formulae:-

  • Two parallel lines are interested by a transversal then alternative interior angles are equal.

  • Two parallel lines are interested by a transversal then Interior angles on the same side to the transversal are supplementary.
