Given : Investment of Sumit is 25% more than that of Maanik and that of Ravi is Rs 8000 in that business

After 8 months, Sumit and Maanik have increased their amount by 20%,25% respectively

at the end of the year, profit share of Sumit and Ravi becomes equal

To Find :

Solution:

Ravi  investment = Rs 8000

Investment of Maanik = 400x  Rs

Investment of Sumit  = 400x + (25/100)400x = 500x  Rs

After 8 months, Sumit   increased their amount by 20%,

= 500x + (20/100)500x  = 600x

After 8 months, Maanik   increased their amount by 25%,

= 400x + (25/100)400x  =500x

Investment of Sumit  = 500x * 8  + 600x * 4  = 6400x  Rs

Investment of Maanik  = 400x * 8 + 500x * 4 = 5200x  Rs

Investment of Ravi = 8000 * 12 = 96000 Rs

6400x   = 96000

=> x = 15

Investment of Sumit  = 96000

Investment of Maanik  = 5200 * 15 = 78000

Investment of Ravi  = 96000

profit share percentage of Maanik  =100 * (78000/ ( 96000 + 78000 + 9600)

= 28.89 %
