Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let its breadth be X

then, length=3X

perimeter =2(l+b)

          40 =2(3x+x)

          40 =8x

             x=5

ie, length is 15 and breadth is 5.

therefore area of rectangle =l×b

                                             =15×5

                                             =75 sq. units.

AnswEr :

  • Let the Breadth of the Rectangle be x, then Length will be 3x i.e.(three times of Breadth)
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 40 cm
  • Area of Rectangle = ?

Let's Head to the Question Now :

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

⇒ 40 cm = 2 × (3x + x)

⇒ 40 cm = 2 × 4x

⇒ 40 cm = 8x

  • Dividing Both term by 8

x = 5 cm
