 =  \frac{ {(2 \times 2)}^{5 + 8} }{ {(2 \times 2)}^{4 + 5} }

 =  \frac{ {4}^{13} }{ {4}^{9} }

 = \frac{4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4}{4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4 \times 4}

Here, 9 fours from below & above cancel each other....

Therefore,

 =  {4}^{4}

 = 256
