Step-by-step explanation:

Let ram's current age be x

Let shyam's current age be y

x - y = 16 ( as their ages differ by 16 ) ---(1)

6 years ago

x-6 = 3(y-6)

X-6 = 3y - 18

X = 3y - 12

x-y-y-y = -12

16-2y = -12. (using 1)

-2y = -16 -12

2y = 16 + 12

y = 28/2

y = 14

x-y = 16

x- 14 = 16

x = 30

Option a) is correct 14 and 30 years
